The Education of the Architect

Originally created in 1987 for the cover of Seattle's Arcade magazine, these illustrations of classic examples of architecture throughout the world and the ages will delight everyone interested in design and history. By no means a complete index to the style and concepts of architecture, the images instead evoke the range of beauty and possibility. Many are instantly recognizable to the student of architecture, the historian, and the world traveller. With the accompanying key to the images, it becomes a lively and entertaining educational resource for all.

What are all of those images?
We're reconstructing the symbolic history of this twenty-year-old drawing as you read this. If you'd like a copy of the key when we're done, email Anita here. Thanks.
